At VideoParagon, we believe every creative project deserves the perfect visuals — and the right license to match. Whether you’re an independent creator, a business launching a marketing campaign, or a studio producing content for global audiences, our flexible licensing options are designed to fit your needs.

We offer four distinct license types — Standard, Commercial, Pro, and Exclusive — each tailored to different levels of usage, distribution, and rights. From personal projects to high-impact advertising and full-scale film productions, you’ll find a license that gives you the freedom and confidence to use our footage exactly how you need it.

Clear, simple, and transparent — our licensing makes it easy to focus on what matters most: creating powerful stories with stunning visuals.

1. Standard License

The Standard License grants you rights to use a video or footage for personal, non-commercial,
editorial, or limited commercial purposes. Under this license, you may:

  • Use the video in personal projects, blogs, social media, or educational content.
  • Incorporate it into non-advertising productions (e.g. short films, internal company videos) with modest audience reach.
  • Use it on websites, YouTube, or social platforms (non monetized or limited monetization), subject to usage limits.

Restrictions / limitations (examples you may include):

  • You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make the footage available as stock itself.
  • Use in high-exposure advertising or for large broadcast campaigns may not be covered (you’d need a higher tier).
  • There may be caps on audience size, impressions, or number of end products.

The Standard License is ideal if you need video footage for smaller projects or internal / editorial use without big commercial exposure.

2. Commercial License

The Commercial License is meant for users who intend to monetize or promote using the footage more broadly. With a Commercial License, you may:

  • Include the video in marketing / promotional content, advertisements, commercials, or branded content.
  • Use it in digital campaigns, social media ads, corporate websites, video ads, and similar commercial channels.
  • Distribute or broadcast commercially (for example, in a promotional video, YouTube ad, or commercial campaign).

Key permissions / enhancements over Standard:

  • Higher or unlimited usage caps (impressions, reach) or removal of certain restrictions on audience size.
  • Use in revenue-generating or monetized content.
  • More flexible allowances for displays in public, presentations, etc.

Restrictions / limitations may still apply:

  • You generally cannot sublicense or resell the footage itself.
  • You may not claim exclusive rights (i.e. others may still license it).
  • Some high-value uses (e.g. use in major TV broadcast, film or theatrical release) may still require Pro or Exclusive licensing.

3. Pro License

The Pro License is a premium license designed for clients with more demanding, large scale, or high visibility uses. Typical rights granted:

  • Use in feature films, documentaries, television, theatrical release, or high budget video projects.
  • Broad distribution rights including global broadcasts, streaming platforms, large ad campaigns, etc.
  • Higher tiers of usage for impressions, views, public display, and international distribution.
  • Use in multi-platform, cross-media campaigns (TV, cinema, digital).

What distinguishes Pro from Commercial:

  • Fewer restrictions and higher allowances on scale, reach, and revenue potential.
  • Greater flexibility in licensing territory, formats, and platforms.
  • Often includes more legal indemnification or warranties.

Limitations / caveats:

  • Still not exclusive — other clients may license the same footage unless you purchase the Exclusive.
  • May require attribution in certain cases (if your policy demands it).
  • Some very special use (e.g. use in a national broadcast with high exclusivity) might still require Exclusive.

4. Exclusive License

The Exclusive License gives you the strongest and most privileged rights over the footage. With this license:

  • You obtain exclusivity — once licensed exclusively to you, the footage will no longer be available for licensing to other buyers (for the duration or territory specified).
  • You can use the footage for any permitted purpose (commercial, broadcast, film, ads, etc.) without worrying about competitors using the same visuals.
  • Maximum flexibility in usage, distribution, sublicensing, format, and media channels.
  • You may have priority legal protection, higher indemnification, or priority support.

Key considerations / limits:

Even with exclusive rights, third-party rights (e.g. persons, trademarks in the footage) might still require separate clearances (e.g. talent release, property release).

Exclusivity typically is limited in scope (e.g. by territory, time period, or usage domain). (E.g. “exclusive for X years in territory Y.”)

The license fee is substantially higher.
